In vitro and in vivo evaluation of different measures to control Ascochyta blight in chickpea

Ascochyta blight, an infection caused by rabiei is a destructive disease in many chickpea growing regions and it significant yield losses. To minimize the impact of 5 fungicides viz., Aliette, Cabrio Top, Thiovit Jet, Cymoxanil Difenoconazole, plants extracts namely Azadirachta indica, azedarach, Datura stramonium, Chenopodium album Allium sativum L. two strains T-22 E58 bio-control agents (BCAs) Trichoderma viride Aspergillus flavus were evaluated on growth A. under vitro conditions using food poison technique. The colony was inhibited at all concentrations @ 0.07, 0.15, 0.21%, 4, 6, 9% 105, 106 107 conidia ml-1 respectively. Among applied treatments, maximum inhibition pathogen recorded case Aliette (83.4%), followed Top (74.3%), indica (50.3%) (60.3%) their high concentrations.
